How Can I Craft Effective Questions for a Confidential Compensation Survey?

I'm conducting a compensation survey in my summer training program. I have prepared a questionnaire for the same. Can you help me formulate some probing questions? I also need some ideas on how to extract information from the HRs of the company as compensation is typically kept confidential in all companies. Kindly guide me as I am a novice and need assistance.

Are you conducting this survey in one organization or several? If in the organization where you are doing your internship, then you need to check with the powers that be whether they will answer your questions.

But first, you should conduct a brief literature search to justify conducting such a study. Also, the literature search will lead you to other studies which can form the basis for your study.

The purpose of conducting this survey is to analyze the state of my organization with the other organizations in this region on each of the parameters mentioned in bold letters in the questionnaire. I am going to 13 organizations to conduct the survey.
