Heartwarming Ads That Made You Smile: Which Ones Have Touched You?

Have you seen the bank ad? I think it's about UTI. The ad starts with two old ladies who are traveling on the train to meet their younger brother. They are typical old ladies with the look, the style, everything. When they reach their brother's house, they hide like kids, and the old guy comes out confused. He looks here and there, and then they come out singing, "HAPPY BDAY CHOTU." I've never seen an ad like this; it was beautiful. I was very happy to see that ad. I felt so good; that ad is special. The ad is really beautiful. It depicts the true bond. I think the ad is for State Bank of India but not UTI. Recently, I have come across a similar ad for Bank of India - a grandfather presents a piggy bank to his grandson and asks him to preserve it carefully. The kid goes in search of a place, and at last, he comes across a bank where the manager shows him a bank locker. There, the kid finally feels secure for his piggy bank and locks it safely. This is advertised frequently on CNN-IBN channel.

I found this advertisement very interesting for its portrayal after the Hutch ad (a dog following a kid). There are many such advertisements that are creatively done and attract customers just like that.

Also, the music in the BOI ad that you have mentioned is lovely. It has a particular melody, just pretty. Of course, who doesn't like the Hutch ad, that cute (going by the standard definition of cute - ugly and weird but bearable and tolerable) looking dog. The theme of that ad was very sweet. I'm glad someone responded.

Me too! Nice to see your note. The Bank of India ad is really fantastic, especially the cute kid who expresses in his acts of protecting the small money saver is really awesome. The climax of the ad, with a relief expressed by the kid, is simply superb.

The music background is excellent and adds marvel to the ad. I'm happy to share my views on the same too.

Of course, who can ever forget Hari Sadu? You know, a guy named Hari Sadu actually got angry over the ad. I couldn't help getting amused at that. I also like the ad where the boss sits on his birthday cake.

Naukri ads are good. Also, SURF EXCEL... "Daag ache hai." SURF always has kids, and their ads are always the spice of the season. The "whatsup dude..oh oh" ad was my favorite.

My fav ad is the recent one going on the tube. It's of TIMES OF INDIA, Where an old man is shown, who after seeing the news that his grandson has been selected in the National Hockey Team quietly goes into the Basement.
Amongst the Trash he searches for his old trunk. In the old trunk lies another TIMES OF INDIA newspaper, decades old. The newspaper contains the news about him only, when he was very young & used to play for the Indian Hockey Team. The news mentioned that he was being dropped from the team due to poor performance.
The old man then compares both the news & dances with utter joy.
The way the ad is presented is very touching. I really like these kinds of ads.

Especially the way he dances... It's like... as if he has achieved bliss. It's great to see that, isn't it? I also like the old Cadbury ad, the one in which the guy hits a six, and the girl comes from the stadium, dancing, with a Cadbury. "Kuch khaas hai... kya baat hai... kuch khaas hai... zindagi mein..." Very sweet ad.

My latest favorite is the SBI ad "Taki bachpan beecha budhapa na aa sake," the one where there is a group of old guys playing cricket, and their ball hits a window. A small kid gets annoyed by the fact that the old guys play cricket. It's a beautifully made ad, and it's so true—all these kids do nowadays is sit at home and watch TV or play video games. The good old times when we used to play hide and seek (my fav) and yell "aatli batli phutli" or play sakhli...kho kho... (Man! I sound ancient... I am talking about my childhood as if it were ages ago.)
Anyway, coming back to the topic, the ad is sweet, and I really like it!

I like the ad which is for some Pension plan. In this, a boy asks for a bike from his Grandpa. The father of the boy tries to offer money to his dad and says take this money for the bike or the kid will feel bad, but he refuses by saying, "If you give me this money, I will feel bad."
And the jingle goes.... "Na sar jhuka hai kabhi aur na jhukayenge kabhi".....

I think it is too apt in present times when older people need to be self-reliant.

I also like their train ad where the guy gives his father his hand to get off the train, but his father brushes him off. And then the father gives his hand to his wife, and she brushes him off. A very cute ad.

I know what you mean. I have loads of ads that I like but can't recall them.

However, I somehow don't like this ad. It feels fake and reminds me of the India Shining campaign.

The new Coke Aamir Khan ad has joined my favorites list, though I don't like to see it often. But I admire the wittiness of the person behind the ad. Excellent concept...
