Struggling with Delayed Employee Pension Fund Withdrawal: How Can I Get Help?

SENY
I was working for a company which has its HO in Mumbai, and the PF office is located in Kandivalli. I had applied for PF withdrawal in January 2007. I have received only the PF amount, and that was in August 2007. However, I have still not received the Employee Pension Fund. Whenever I try to call the PF office in Mumbai, no one picks up the phone, or the person who does answer does not know anything about this. This is really frustrating. I have sent emails and registered letters, but have received no reply. Why do people at government offices behave like this? Please help me so that I can receive this amount.

I have submitted my PAN card as ID proof, a 6-month bank statement (original) stating that the PF amount was not transferred into my account, and a request letter with a canceled check.

I was working with company "Aptech Computer Education" and both PF withdrawal form and the employee pension fund withdrawal forms have been submitted by the company, as they have sent a letter stating this to me.

Dear Seny,

You have to submit 2 PF forms, and as far as the pension fund is concerned, I don't think you can get it before the retirement age. It would be better to confirm with other HR members as well. Also, it takes a minimum of 3 months to recover all the amount as per the law.

Dear Seny,

The two forms you sent for withdrawal might have reached the PF Office; therefore, you might have received the Pension amount. Concerning the Employee pension amount, you need to confirm with your Employer the date of dispatch of the form and draft a letter with your EPF number. (If your company has its own PF trust, then your PF number and EPF number may vary; please confirm.) Make a copy for your previous employer and cc it to your file. Address the letter to AC.PF Mumbai - Kandivalli.
