Struggling to Get My Provident Fund Back After a Year – Any Advice Besides Court?

I am facing a problem getting my PF money back from a company. I have been following up on this for more than a year. Can any of you suggest what to do next, except going to court?

It is not like that. First, you need to clearly explain your problem. Whether the company trusts you or your PF is deposited with the authority.

I had applied for the provident fund last year in the month of March '08. As per the executive of the PF company, it has been processed in the month of Sep '08, which I also have confirmation of via email. However, I have not received the check for the PF amount. I filed a complaint about this issue, and in the month of Feb '09, they requested the documents again. I provided all the necessary documents including my PAN card, cancelled check, 6-month bank statement, and a request letter. Despite this, they are still asking me to wait for 3 more months. Why is that?

You should go and meet the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner directly and explain your problem. Otherwise, you can send a notice through an advocate or file a case in the consumer forum. I feel that if you meet the RPFC, he will sort out your problem.
