Hi Radhika,
It seems like you are finding candidates but finding it difficult to position them. It's simple - read the resume thoroughly first, understand the type of job they are currently doing, and the responsibilities they are handling. While conversing with the candidate, you can ask about the projects they have worked on. Pay attention not only to the company they work for but also to the client they are working for. Inquire about their interests and whether they wish to continue with the same profile.
Ultimately, it is up to you to judge whether the candidate is the right fit or not. This is where HR plays a crucial role. Ensure you know how to conduct telephonic interviews, what questions to ask, and what to avoid. Stay attentive to what the candidate is communicating.
Give this approach a try. If you believe any of my suggestions are incorrect, please reply to me.
