Can anybody help me out by giving the major differences between a generalist HR profile and a Payroll profile? Can anyone explain the role of an HR Generalist and the role of a Payroll Profile?

Hi,

Generic HR handles tasks like Recruitment, Training, Induction, and Employee Relations. On the other hand, the Payroll team focuses more on the salary aspect, such as running payroll and managing statutory requirements.

Payroll Software System: Maintains the Time Office Part, Attendance entry in payroll, Arrears, Personal record, Salary structure, Payroll Processing, taking care of various statutory reports like OT, PF, ESI, WAGES, BONUS, CA & OTHER ALLOWANCES, etc. The person handling the payroll can easily navigate in Compensation and IR Dept.
