Hi, my name is Bindya, and I want to know how to do a case study. I am pursuing my MBA from NIBM and have no clue how to go about this. Could you also let me know if there are any model question papers for the 1st sem.

Regards,

You can obtain good case material from any B-schools and Open University.

Below is one of many methods to answer case studies:

(a) Introduction of the case.
(b) Solution for the situation - Identify which law/rule/theory you are implementing. Explain why that theory is best suited for the situation. Your comments on the situation.

3. Pros/Cons.

4. Conclusion with specific inputs.

5. Issues to be discussed/addressed.

Hi All,

Thanks for all your inputs. I have gone through the links, and they seem to be good. I still have some questions. My case study is scenario-based. For example, I am the HRM for a company (TISCO) in Jamshedpur, and the employees are on strike. The annual turnover forecast is at 10c. How will I achieve my targets and get these people to work?

My question is, in such a scenario, am I to assume as I do not know the company and the nature of the job done? If I have to provide factual details, then where do I have to look for the same? Need some help, please. :icon1:
