Electrician Licensing in Maintenance: Do I Need One While Employed?

Please help me. Does a confirmed employee in the Maintenance department as an Electrician (who has completed I.T.I.) require a license while he is in employment? What is the law?

I don't understand your query. Please make it a little clearer. We have not heard of such a type of license requirement for an electrician.

The query of Mr. Raj is, "Is it mandatory for an (ITI Electrical) Electrician to have the work permit license for operations such as D.G. Set?" Kindly clarify whether any on-the-job training provided for such operations fulfills the requirement or if holding the work permit license granted by the District Electorate Office is mandatory.

Irrespective of technical qualifications, an electrical license is mandatory for handling electrical works. Furthermore, an electrical license obtained in one state is not valid in other states.

I do not have any idea about this license because it is not required in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. For other states, I do not have any idea.
