Gratuity Calculation Changes: Has the Calculation Period Increased from 15 to 21 Days?

May I know if there have been any recent changes in the gratuity calculation? I heard that instead of 15 days, it has been increased to 21 days, which we use for calculating the gratuity. Kindly update me on this.

We have not seen any such amendment in the Gratuity Act. If you have seen any notification, please post the same.

In line with the 6th Pay Commission (applicable for Central Govt. employees) and the 2nd PRC Pay Revision Committee (applicable for Central Public Sector Undertakings), the maximum ceiling has been raised from Rs. 3.5 Lakhs to Rs. 10 Lakhs. However, the amendment of the Gratuity Act is yet to come before implementation.

To my knowledge, there is no change as of now.
