Hi there,

Recently, I have gone through a book on Training & Development - the title is "Training and Development - Towards an Integrated Approach" by Vinayshil Gautam and Shobana V., published by the Indian Society for Training and Development. It costs about Rs. 225 only. The chapters are apt and simple to follow. I recommend trying this one out.

Thank you.

Hi DSV,

I recently read an excellent "how-to" book on Training & Development. In fact, I am still engrossed in it. It's so captivating that I really don't feel like returning it to the library, but I have to. :-(

The book is titled "Everything You Ever Needed to Know About Training" by Kaye Thorne and David Mackey. You can find the Table of Contents at this link: http://books.google.com/books?vid=ISBN0749440481&id=teafmo-Fdx4C&printsec=frontcover&dq=Everything+you+wanted +to+learn+about+Training.

The authors, Thorne & Mackey, have done a commendable job. I highly recommend checking out this book. It's excellent and no-nonsense. It provides both the thought process and basic tools like forms, questionnaires, etc., to help you get started. Give it a try.

Best Wishes,
Nad
