Waiting for PF Claim Updates: How Long Did It Take for Yours to Process?

pardeep3dec@zapak.com
Dear Sir,

Recently, I joined a new company and claimed PF through Form 19 and 10c in my previous company (Location: New Delhi). When I checked the online status on www.epfindia.com, it shows that the claim is under process. I am attaching an image provided by the EPF site.

Please help as I have not received any updates so far.

Thank you,
Pardeep

Hi Pardeep,

First, you need to confirm whether they have submitted your form to the PF office or not. If yes, they should provide you with an acknowledgment copy of the same. The PF department generally takes 30 to 60 days to settle any claim, so please wait for some days and then check again.

However, please be aware that sometimes the website is not updated or there may be some technical issues, causing it to show that your claim is still in process.

Tushar rightly said, contact your previous company and ask for a copy of the stamped receipt from the PF department for your claim forms. If you are in the same place, go to the respective PF office with it (only after a month or so from the date of receipt of the form) and ask for the status with the PRO. Alternatively, you can call up that EPF office (although very difficult to reach) and ask for your status over the phone. The phone number you will get on the same website.

Hi Pardeep,

Nothing to worry much if your previous employer is not submitting your PF withdrawal form to the PF office. Now, what you need to do is just visit the office with the complete form filled and signed, and submit it there. It will take hardly 15 to 20 minutes.

Note: try to visit between 2 pm to 4 pm (less rush). Get the complete address of the PF office where your company is registered.

Sir, I am confused when the employer has not signed that document. Is there any possibility without the employer's signature.

Pradeep,

Yes, it is possible to withdraw PF amount without your last organization's signature in the form. Instead of your ex-employer's signature, get it signed by any nationalized bank manager. He/she can validate the signature. But you should have patience in case of PF withdrawal.

Rohit
