Career Shift - Suggestions Please

hi all
I am new to this forum.
I need some advice from you all.
Actually am a software professional, i have 3+ years of experience as software developer. I am very much interested in administration so i did my MBA (concentration in personnel management )through distance education. i did my final year project in my previous company itself in training and development, and now i am working as HR trainee in esoft, but just as a intern.
i wish to shift my career to HRM. is it possible for me to get a job now in HR or i have to do any further courses. please suggest me with your advise.

You have a good career prospect in HR. Having good back ground in software and now shifting to HR will give you a good career growth in HR in the IT/Software industry.

You can do SAP-HR, but make it sure tat u do certification on it. Why because, n numbr of people in market are ready to train u on SAP HR, but, no one vl assure u the placement.

Hi,
I need suggestion on shaping my career in HR.
Initially I started as a recruiter in an IT consultancy and worked there for 1 year and then switched to a pharma company, where the company MD at the time of final interview told me that initially I am required to do administration work and later they would give me more and more Hr responsibilities and in the meanwhile they would give the designation of Management Trainee. But, even after six months I am far from HR responsibilities and whatever administration job I am doing its not proper admin job either . Now I am unable to decide as what to do next .....to resign and search but then its six months I have not done any HR work and feeling scared as I would not get a good oppertunity now....more over will it be a wise take to chuck the job during this reccession time....

No, don leav ur job. Try to discuss with ur MD and get in to some part of HR, 6 months is nothing, don panic, evn HR ppl at times do admin and other odd jobs, don giv up. Try meeting your MD and explain your views, sure u'll get.

Hi Karthika,
Do your SAP HR at Siemens, through OLT (online training) which is cost effective compared to full time training. OLT fees comes around 1,50,000 + 25,000 Certification fee, where as Full time course costs around 3.10lacs. Will get you details on OLT soon.
