Is Manual Attendance Recording Necessary When Using an ERP System? Seeking Advice!

Asnit
Dear All,

Hello. We have started working on the ERP system. I believe all of you are aware of it. There is a query regarding the Attendance Register: is there any rule that requires us to record attendance manually in a register instead of using the ERP system? We aim to maintain all HR or finance records in the ERP system and also keep the attendance register in hard copy and soft copy through it. Kindly suggest... waiting.

Thanks & Regards,

Dear,

If you are referring to attendance registers, you have to maintain them every month. You need to determine under which act they are registered, such as the Factory Act or Shop Act. Therefore, you are required to maintain monthly registers.

Dear Asnit,

As per the law, all records are to be maintained manually. However, you can also maintain them through a computer. But, you must obtain permission from the Director of Factories to maintain electronic records in the case of a factory. If yours is an establishment, that falls under the jurisdiction of the Labor Commissioner.

Thank you.

Hi,

If my company is registered under the "Shop Act," how can we keep records for attendance and leave?
