Confused About Overlapping Dates in PF Transfer? Seeking Advice on Resolving This Issue

My resignation date with my previous company was 09.04.2008, and I joined a new company on 10.04.2008. Although I was not a confirmed employee with my previous company, they provided me with a relieving certificate dated 09.04.2008.

My present company submitted Form-5 to the EPF department stating my date of joining as 10.04.2008. However, my previous company reported my date of leaving as 16.04.2008 in the final settlement, leading to overlapping dates. How should my PF be transferred or withdrawn?

Please suggest.

Dear Sir,

I object to Mr. Malik. Your final settlement date is 16/4 and the new join date is 10/4. The transfer will only take effect if done before the mentioned dates; otherwise, there will be no effect on the withdrawal. However, according to the legal terms, you are not allowed to withdraw your PF, only transfer is permitted.
