How Do I Calculate PF and Gratuity? Seeking Help with Examples and Contribution Differences

My name is Amresh. Please tell me how to calculate PF and gratuity. Also, could you send me an Excel sheet with an example? I would also appreciate it if you could let me know if there is a difference between employees' and employers' contributions towards the fund.

Dear Amresh,

Take a little pain and search the same on this site; you will find thousands of discussions on this topic. PF is deducted at 12% of the basic employee share, which is the same as the employer's share.

Regarding gratuity, the calculation is as follows: Basic/26 * 15 * number of years of service.
