Understanding PF Contribution Limits: Can I Add More from My Salary?

Hi to all,

Please tell me what is the maximum limit of PF contribution for an employee. For example, if my basic salary is 12000, the maximum contribution on 6500 at 12% is 780 from the employer's side. Can I contribute 3000 per month from my side?

Yes, you can do so, but you have to submit an application for the Voluntary Provident Fund (VPF).

Hi,

The maximum limit of PF contribution to the employee is 20% of basic, but the employer will only contribute 12% of your basic.
