When I see such posts, I start wondering what inputs one is seeking. Please see my post on Research Methodology (PPT attached) if you have not covered that module in your degree courses. Have you read journal articles to see what others have done, how, why that way, and what gaps exist in the field? If not, that's the first thing that a PhD student should do to formulate the aim and objectives of the research.
