New Rate Of Minimum Wages In Gujarat W.e.f 11-02-2009

Here I am posting the new rate of minimum wages for Zone II or Zone III applied in Gujarat W.e.f. 11-02-2009. If there are any corrections, please let me know.

As per the notification dated 11/02/2009, the basic rate of minimum wages has been revised w.e.f. 11/02/2009. The revised rates are basic wages only, and D.A. is zero as of now. D.A. shall be declared w.e.f. 01/04/2009. For the period, the basic is as under, and D.A. is 0.00.

The rates of minimum wages for different classes of industries are as follows:

Further, any contract labor employed in the above industry should not be paid less than the rates paid to the employees of the company when both are doing similar kinds of jobs.

Rates of minimum wages for contractors as per the Contract Labor (R & A) Act w.e.f. 01/10/2008 to 31/03/2009 shall be as follows:

You have to obtain the notification from any Assistant Labour Office because they have published the full Government Gazette this year, so it's a whole book. I can't post it here.
