Facing a Non-Compete Clause: How Can I Accept a Job Offer Without Breaching It?

mujeebuddin_in
Dear seniors, Last month, I resigned from my job. I was working as a recruitment consultant in a reputed staffing company. I received a conditional relieving letter from my last company stating that I am not supposed to join any of our clients or competitors for a period of six months. Now, I have an excellent opportunity with one of its clients, a leading corporate company. They are mentioning the particular condition with respect to my employment letter. In fact, I was not aware of this statement when I was signing the employment letter.

Please advise on what I should do as I don't want to miss this opportunity.
Regards, Mujeeb Ali

Dear,

Legally, this type of ban does not have any legal authenticity, and a previous employer cannot do anything against you legally. You join and work hard to establish yourself, nothing will happen.

Thanks,
J.S. Malik
