Understanding PF Exemptions: Is a Daily Wage of Rs 300 Considered Exempt?

Can anyone suggest me regarding this doubt... An employee getting more than Rs 6500/- is an exempted employee under the PF Act. However, an employee getting Rs. 300 per day, is he exempted under the act?

As per The EPF & MP Act 1952, employees whose basic salary is more than Rs. 6500/-, then the employer can give a contribution to PF for those employees on Rs. 6500/- only, even if their basic salary is more than Rs. 6500.

Yes, the employee's salary of Rs. 300.00 per day will be calculated monthly (300 multiplied by 26 days in a month).

Rs. 7800.00 is the exempted wage/salary for PF contributions.

Form No. 11 and Employee Status

Collect Form No. 11 to confirm whether the employee was an excluded employee before being appointed at a covered establishment.

The employee was previously covered under the EPF. Contributions should continue to be paid for Rs. 6500 per month.
