How to Set Fair Increment and Promotion Criteria in Today's Market? Urgent Advice Needed

Dear Experts,

My company is into US Health Insurance domain and we have two verticals BPO + Software Division closed to 600 employees (450 in BPO, 100 in Software & close to 50 in Support functions).

I have been asked to make “3 Models for Increment & Promotion policies” by my senior.

In this current market scenario what parameters can I adopt for increment and promotion and how it is going to be helpful in adopting those parameters?

Your help would really be appreciated on this. I need this urgently as we have to start the process from 23rd February 2009 onwards.

Hi Anisha_Singh,

Increments depend on the performance appraisal system in your company, and in case of promotion policy, you have to study the criteria for promotion in consultation with your seniors. You can link the same with the performance appraisals. :-x

Thank you for the suggestion. In my company, we follow 90-degree appraisal. Could you kindly guide me on some parameters I can adopt in the current market scenario for the increments?
