How Can I Ensure My PF Withdrawal Forms Aren't Misplaced Again by HR?

Shwet333
Hello!

I had sent my Exit form along with PF withdrawal form and its required other documents. But after 4 months of follow-up, I came to know that HR has 'misplaced' my PF forms, saying that they received only the Exit form and not the PF withdrawal forms...! I have 'courier received' receipt, but it doesn't prove what documents were inside!

Now they are asking me to send the PF withdrawal form again. But now, since I have lost faith in their proper working method, please guide me on HOW to keep CHECK on whether the HR people are sending my PF forms to the PF office on time and not getting delayed or misplaced again..?

Hi,

Try to submit the form with a covering letter personally and take an acknowledgment from your company. Also, when the company submits the form, they will receive an acknowledgment from the PF office. You can ask for that to follow up for your withdrawal.

Dear [Recipient],

You personally need to get your form attested by your employer and then deposit it at the PF office. Essentially, it is the individual's responsibility to ensure the deposit is made at the PF office.

Thank you.

Thank you for your response. I'll personally visit to get 'received signatures' on my PF withdrawal forms copy.

Regarding PF withdrawal form submission - I had tried before by asking the company about submitting my PF forms myself, but my company said it has to go through the proper channel. Also, my office is in Mumbai, while our Head Office is in Pune, so the company will be submitting PF forms in the Pune PF office.

Kindly also let me know WHAT DOCUMENTS should I collect after my Full & Final payment is settled and received in my account?

Thank you.

Hi,

Ideally, you should have a copy of the F & F statement, last payslip, relieving and experience letter. Also, Form 16, but you can only get that at the end of the year. You can take a copy of the computation for tax from your previous company to submit it to your new company, if needed for tax-related purposes.
