Is the NSSN Card Still Valid for PF Transfers? Seeking Advice on Employer Rejection

I want to know if the NSSN concept for PF is still in operation. I have my NSSN Card with me, but my new employer doesn't accept the NSSN card for PF transfer. They say that the NSSN is no longer valid, and the government has completely stopped that concept. Existing NSSNs are also not used for PF anymore. Please help and advise.

The same is the case with me. I have my NPSN card, but my new employer has opened a new PF account. I am confused about the use of this NPSN card if no one accepts it. Can someone please shed some light on this?
