Thank you, Surabhi.
I am not a management student, but I have a keen desire to learn and understand every aspect of Management. Thanks to Citehr, it helps me connect with wonderful people like you and solve my queries.
Thank you, Surabhi, for helping me to clarify these two terms. However, I still have some confusion in my mind regarding PMS, like how to calculate it. Can you please explain it with an example?
Regards,
Sweety
Hi Sweety,
It seems that you are a management student and have heard these terms for the first time. Anyways, I'll brief you with all:
PMS stands for Performance Management System through which an employee's performance is calculated. It is done once (in some organizations twice) a year.
GD is Group Discussion. It is one of the techniques used during interviews to help in shortlisting applicants on various parameters.
Now the last one,
SWOT Analysis is a marketing strategy in which you analyze a product's success in four different parameters. SWOT stands for Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threats.
I hope I've made these terms a little more familiar to you now. For more details, you can refer to various management books or search through Google.
All the Best.
