Procedure for Changing Organization Name in ESI & PF Accounts and Updating Statutory Records

Dear Seniors,

Our organization got renamed in April 2008. However, the ESI and PF registrations remained under the former name. Now, I want to change the organization's name on the ESI and PF accounts.

What is the procedure to change the organization's name in the ESI & PF accounts? What would be the implications if we do not change the organization's name?

Dear V.,

Please send the following to the respective offices:

1. A letter written on behalf of the authorized signatory regarding the change on the letterhead to reflect the new name.
2. Copy of the board resolution.
3. True copy of the letter received from ROC in the case of a company. In other cases, a copy of the letter received from another authority.

If you do not get the name changed, it could put you in a great mess because you may be charged with working without registration.

I'm facing the same problem, kindly help me out with changing the company name in the PF records. Additionally, please advise on what other statutory records need to be updated with the new company name.
