Hi there, When I joined a firm in Hyderabad, they issued me an appointment letter in which nothing was mentioned related to the notice period for leaving.
In August, I requested my employer to leave the firm during an oral chat. He asked me when I wanted to leave, and I replied, "Relieve me ASAP." Within seconds, I received an email from my manager stating, "As requested by you, you are relieved from duties effective from today."
I then formally resigned through email five minutes later on the same day. I received my relieving letter, stating that I am relieved from duties and to communicate with the finance department about final settlements.
This month, I returned to my previous company, and my manager stated that I didn't serve the notice period, so they are cutting my salary for that reason and demanding extra payment. Now, the owner is threatening to file a case against me or demand extra payment. Additionally, one month's salary is still pending.
What Can I Do to Receive My Remaining Salary?
Can he file a case against me for any reason just to disturb me? Please help!
