Gayatri am very sorry for the delay in replying. Yes what you said is a right process when you want to test sales people. Just try to put down what does sales guy needs to be successful in your organisation.
Does he needs to be aggresssive, forceful or he needs to be the one who blah blah blah's a lot... just get the competencies required and check how many of them you are able to cover with your test.
Then start testing it on the people who are successful and compare the results. I dont think you will be able to finish it so fast. Else you can start testing it on particular group of students in a college. You need to test it on more numbr of people before doing the actual test. Always remember that psychometric tests shouldnt be basis of selection, they should be the supporting reports for selection.

We did a psychometric test which can be used both for IT and Non IT ( Keeping sales and finance in mind). :wink: This is in the testing process right now.
