Hi,
The following are the basic points regarding BG checks:
1. The offer is rolled out from X company once the candidate clears all rounds of interviews. He would be asked to fill out an MIF (Mandatory Information Form) which captures education, contact, and previous employer details.
2. Once the candidate says yes to the offer, the BG check is usually initiated.
3. Larger IT companies often outsource BG checks.
4. If the candidate has worked with three companies (including the present employer), the interim check report would be available before the candidate joins.
5. Once the candidate joins the new company, the full and final report would be prepared by the BG check agency and given to the parent company within the stipulated time.
6. If at any stage the BG check reveals discrepancies, the candidate will be asked for clarifications. If the candidate's answers are unsatisfactory, the employer reserves the right to revoke the offer.
