Casual Labour means a worker who is engaging a work of very casual nature. Therefore, any body who is hired to do any casual work cannot claim a job which can be done only by an expert. However, if a worker is being hired to do a regular work but he has been given the 'designation' casual worker, that employee can claim permanent employment if he has worked at least for 240 days in the preceding year. This is because, for designation only he is casual worker but he has been working on a regular job. As such he cannot be deprived of the rights of employee contemplated in various Acts. Badli worker is one who is appiointed for the time being to do some work of regular nature when the person who has been doing that work goes on leave or is absent due to any reason. The job will cease to exist when the regular employee for whose absence he is appointed resumes duty. For matters connected with factories, the occupier and the Factory Manager are held responsible.
