Struggling to Find Top Talent for BPO? Where Else Can We Source Great Candidates?

post2vinodh
Hi folks,

I am working in a consultancy as an HR Executive. We are looking for IT & ITES requirements. Currently, we are working on the position of Technical Support Executive (TSO/TSE) in the Voice Process (Inbound).

For the past 2 months, we have been working in this position. Up to today, we have sent more than 200 candidates to that BPO company, but only 10 candidates have been selected by them.

Now, my doubt is, from where can we get candidates with excellent communication skills and a qualification of graduation, apart from the job portals? If anybody has any ideas about this, please clear my doubt.

Dear Vinod,

It's very simple. Talk to the selected candidates and share their interview experience, strengths, and weaknesses. Also, do the same activity with non-selected candidates. You will surely get your solution.

Dear Vinodh,

Whenever you receive a requirement from your client, make sure to also inquire about their competitors or which companies are working on similar projects. This information will help you in headhunting the right candidates.

First, interact with the rejected candidate and then understand the company's requirements before sharing the same with the selected candidate. Conduct research in the market to determine how many individuals are working in technical and sales roles. This will simplify your work before you begin poaching from those companies.

Before sending the candidate's profile to the company, ensure you have knowledge about the company overview. Discuss this with the candidate before arranging an interview. For example, companies like Amazon are involved in sales and technical fields, similar to Knoah Solutions.

All the best!

Headhunting works best in BPO recruitments. Candidate referrals and campus hires can also be effective strategies to consider.

Dear Vinod,

I would suggest you to go for campus drives instead of downloading CVs from portals. If possible, try to facilitate the interviews along with your client on the campus itself. This will enable you to close as many positions as possible within a short span of time.

Dear Vijay,

It is advisable to reconnect with rejected candidates after a month to inquire if they have been contacted by those HR professionals again.

Hello,

To share an event, two years ago, one of the graduation colleges (BBM, BCom, BA, and BSc) in the place where I live organized a campus recruitment program to supply candidates to the BPO sector. Many of my friends attended the same and got placed in one of the leading BPO companies in Bangalore.

If you are seeking candidates with good communication skills, campus placements, where students aim at making fast money, can be a good option. Due to the recession in the market, it is much easier for you to pick candidates at this time from the college campus by instilling the right idea about the BPO sector in them.

Hi Vinoth, this is Thaniyarasu from Trichy.

As I am running an HR training program named "Speakeasy," it's very easy to answer your query. Normally, we go to the Uzavar Sandhai to purchase fresh vegetables. At the same time, to buy at cheaper prices, isn't it? Similarly, we go to an automobile dealer to buy a car. I am sorry, am I exceeding my limit?

That is the way you can either go to very good colleges to find your candidates, or you can come to us, like professional training institutes. The thing is, we need to filter the candidates who are in need rather than just the requirement of a job. Most candidates do not have a stable mindset when they come to us. If they have the thirst and quest to learn, it's very easy to train anybody.

Particularly, English can be taught within a week. The rest is that they have to practice like cycling and swimming to gain expertise.

If you want to search for candidates, you should search by the names of good BPO companies like Amex and American Express. You can also post on LinkedIn.
