Our company is in Mumbai however, we have employees all over India.
I have tried to compile Holiday list (tentative).
It may be of some help to you all.

In the recently the Tamilnadu Government has declared the Pongal day as a Tamil New year day insted of the first date of chitirai month with effect from 2009.
And also the recent gazette publication also indicate the same.
Kindly go through the attachmnet and make changes if reqiured
