River Crossing Puzzle: Logic and Problem-Solving Challenge

ali.infoseek
A man has a wolf, a goat, and a cabbage. He must cross a river with the two animals and the cabbage. There is a small rowing-boat, in which he can take only one thing with him at a time. If, however, the wolf and the goat are left alone, the wolf will eat the goat. If the goat and the cabbage are left alone, the goat will eat the cabbage.

Try to solve it as it's too simple. I hope this is easier :)

First, he will take the wolf and leave it on the other side. Second, he will take the cabbage and leave it on the other side as well since the wolf cannot eat the cabbage. Lastly, he will carry the goat. Right.

First, he crossed the goat. After that, he crossed the cabbage. Again, he is back with the goat. After he crossed the wolf, he left the goat, and he came back to cross the goat.

First, in his boat, he will take the goat across the river, leaving the wolf and cabbage behind. Then, he will come back alone to the wolf and cabbage. Second time, he will take the cabbage along with him across the river, leaving only the wolf alone. While coming back, he will take a goat with him in his boat.

Third time, when he reaches the wolf, he will leave the goat at the other side and take the wolf with him in his boat across the river to the cabbage. Lastly, he will come back to the goat alone and take it across the river. Now, everyone is at the same side. I hope I am right.
