Balancing Family and Career: Can Freelance Recruiting from Home Match My Current Salary?

quali
Hi,

I am working as a Senior HR in a BPO sector and playing a generalist role, but I always liked recruitment. Also, I have two kids whom I should look after. I was just thinking that in case I start working as a freelance recruiter from home by getting work from consultancies, would I be able to earn as I am doing now. I am scared that after I leave this job, it would be difficult to get a double-digit salary only through consultations, as it is very important for me to support my family monetarily.

I want your valuable suggestions and opinions on whether I have to do a full-time work or quit and start working at home.

Hi!

Well, this may not be the right time to become a freelance recruiter considering the market scenario. But it could be useful in the future as you would have made the necessary contacts and gained experience by the time markets get back to normal.

If the monetary aspect is more important, then this may not be the right time at all to get into freelance recruitment, considering you already have a good and stable job that pays well.

Whichever way you decide, if you are open to associations, then do let me know.

Thanks,

Manish.

Dear Sir,

I am also feeling the same. I am not with family, missing my daughter and all family members. Yesterday, I viewed the PowerPoint interview with God, and I was thinking all night. I felt the same as you. I was a trainer previously. I am considering returning to the same profession to better stay with my family, even if the salary would be less. If there are any other possibilities, please suggest. (Earning From Home)
