Employees Abscond From Company Without Any Intimation.

Dear Friends,

Employees abscond from the company without any intimation. This is my problem; there was an employee working for our organization for the past 1.5 years. One fine day, suddenly, she said she would like to meet me. She said her mom is in a very serious health condition and should go for medical treatment immediately. She is trying to explain the whole process of treatment and finally said she wanted to resign from her current position immediately without a notice period.

As she is a good employee, I don't want to lose her. I wanted to give her permission to take a break and join after 15 days. She didn't accept this and repeatedly talked about quitting. She came up with a well-planned idea to quit the company as soon as possible and started explaining it to me. (As per the company policy, 2 months is the notice period). I sensed that she is very well prepared to talk to me and thought not to continue with the conversation.

From the next day, she stopped coming to the office, and there is no communication from her. While trying to reach her through mobile, her mom picked up the call and said she will not come to the office hereafter as she needs to take care of the family.

After a week's time, I got a verification mail from one company stating that she recently joined there and requested me for details.

In such cases, I want to know how to deal with them legally. We sent her a show-cause notice for her absence, asked her to explain in person the reason. She gave the same old story.

Kindly let me know about this further move; my goal is not to spoil their career but to behave professionally and make them realize their mistake.

Hello,

You are requested to provide your genuine feedback on the verification email sent to you by another company. Please fulfill your duties sincerely and explain the entire story as narrated to you by the other company. It is important not to settle her account as she misled you by using her mother's health as an excuse, which is unacceptable behavior. Please act in accordance with the rules and regulations of our company.
