Lost PAN Card Without a Copy: How Can My Friend Apply for a Duplicate?

hrpriya
Hi,

One of my friends has lost her PAN Card. Can anybody tell me how to apply for a duplicate one? She doesn't have a copy of her PAN Card number. She has never filed her income tax returns.

Can anybody let me know the procedure?

Priya,

I suggest you consult the agent who deals with the PAN cards. Without even knowing the PAN number, I think it is a bit difficult to apply. The concerned agent may give you suggestions on how to go about further.

Hi Priya,

If you know your PAN card number, you can apply for a duplicate PAN card with UTI or NSDL. I am herewith giving you two web links to know the nearest branch of UTI or NSDL.

- <link no longer exists - removed>
- <link updated to site home> (Search On Cite | Search On Google)
- TIN Search <link updated to site home>

Please contact them. They will guide you. It is not difficult to get the duplicate PAN card. It will just cost you around. But you have to provide your address proof, your latest photo, and your ITO ward.

My friend got a duplicate PAN card this way. Contact them. Provide your PAN card number and request them to give your full name, date of birth, etc., so that you can fill in the exact details in the application form without any mistakes.

Hi friends,

I have a PAN card that I applied for around 1.5 years ago. At the time of applying, I was unemployed. Therefore, when filling out the PAN card application, I left the Office Address and Profession sections blank. Now, I am a salaried person, and I would like to update/change my Office Address and Profession. What is the procedure for doing so?
