Seeking Examples of 6 Sigma Success in Service Sector for My Upcoming Presentation

I need to know which companies in the service sector have implemented 6 Sigma and what its benefits are. Please do reply.

The Six Sigma concept was initiated by Motorola. Later, it was popularized worldwide by Jack Welch, who implemented it extensively at GE. Besides these, numerous other companies have incorporated Six Sigma into their processes, such as Airtel.

As far as my understanding goes, Airtel never opted for Six Sigma. I have worked in the organization for three years and even currently in touch with the top and middle management.

I too have worked with Airtel. As per my knowledge, they require employees to undertake Green Belt training, an important part of the Six Sigma process. Besides Airtel, other companies where Six Sigma is being used are Wipro and Intelenet.

Hi Deepti,

It is probably misinterpreted either by me or you. We have been delivering the training program to Airtel in the soft skill areas, whether it is their manager, CEO, or frontline staff. The training was about the services. The part which you mentioned, Greenbelt, was not applicable to either of them. If it was the technical department, then I cannot comment on that part. Probably, it could have been an addition.

I have already given the PDF file, which might help Natasha to work specifically in the services sector.

Since Airtel is extremely popular in India, I've been wanting to research its performance appraisal techniques.
