Decoding Pay Scale Formats in Job Postings - Understanding Increment Rates and Salary Ranges

SrinivasanShri
Dear All,

I saw a government advertisement for a job posting with a pay scale of 7100-200-10100. I couldn't understand the format of this pay scale. Can you explain it to me?

7100-200-10100 means the starting scale for that particular designation is 7100 as basic and goes up to 10100. 200 denotes the rate of increment in between the slab of 7100 to 10100.
