What’s a Fair Salary for an MBA in HR with One Year of Experience?

Vyakhya
Hi All,

Can anyone suggest what should be the ideal package for an MBA (HR) with 1 year of corporate experience?

Dear Srishti,

It depends on a lot of factors, namely:

1. What is your current profile?
2. What will your profile be in the next organization?
3. What is your current salary structure?
4. What structure or slab do you fall under in the next organization?
5. In case you are shifting locations, whether it is a metro or not, i.e., city allowance.
6. What kind of organization are you moving to? Will your past experience help, or will you have to begin your learning curve again?

I guess these are some answers you will have to ask yourself. Hope this helps and does not confuse you further.

Hi all,

I am still waiting for more responses for this question. As one of the forum members has already said, it depends upon the industry, but generally, I want to know what the market value is of a smart HR Executive with a regular MBA degree and 1 year of corporate HR experience.

Dear Srishti,

I am an HR Executive with a degree in HR. I have completed a one-year job in a multinational Construction Company. Currently, I am seeking opportunities in the Telecom Sector or FMCGs. I started a year ago with a salary of Rs. 12k/month with no extra benefits. Now, I have an opportunity to join the telecom sector with a salary of 32K/month along with a mobile, laptop, and family medical benefits. However, I am currently earning 23k/month with benefits such as a provident fund, medical allowance, and 26 earned leave days.

I would appreciate your insights on the market situation for HR Executives here in Pakistan. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the Indian market as I have not been exposed to it.

Best Regards,

Hi Irfan,

Thanks a lot, Irfan, for shedding some light on the market scenario. I think it's going to be more or less the same in India too, as India and Pakistan are twins.

Regards,
Srishti
