Is Now the Right Time for My Friend to Launch Her Non-IT Recruitment Firm? Seeking Your Advice!

Sweta Mehta
Hello Everyone,

Cite HR is a really informative site that I have come across. One of my friends wants to start a recruitment firm (Non-IT sector). She has 3 years of experience in recruitment - both IT and Non-IT - and now wants to start her own firm. In this scenario, is this the right time for her to start? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Sweta

Hi,

It's the best time to start. And she has the right experience, so getting business will not be an issue. From mid-December, I am very confident that a lot of new openings will come up.

Yes, this is a very good time to get into the recruiting/staffing firm. Many candidates are looking for new jobs or seeking to move on due to the current economic slowdown, being made redundant, or their business cutting costs, etc. If you are ready to work really hard, stay extremely focused, build real relationships, and most of all sell - yes, it's a good time to start. Good luck to your friend.

Hi Sweta,

My name is Saie; I have also started my own recruitment firm. I am glad to inform you that it has been almost two months, and it is still working fine, growing day by day. I believe it is the right time to review our progress tomorrow and plan accordingly because it's essential to be independent before facing any troubles. Good luck to your friend.

Hi Saie,

Hope you are doing well. This is Jai from Chennai. You mentioned that you started your company two months ago, and now it's growing very well. Could you please let me know, if you don't mind, what areas you are focusing on? Is it IT or Non-IT? Also, what levels are you working at and are you operating PAN India?

How are you acquiring new clients? When you approach new clients, how do they react? What are they saying, and do they provide their requirements immediately?

Please share your experience.

Regards,
Jai

Hi Saiegud to hear that your company is doing well. All the very best. I need some help from you. One of my friends is planning to open a recruitment firm. Can you guide us on how we can go about this? What all things should we keep in mind legally, etc.? We have prepared a profile in order to approach different companies and about to take packages from different job sites. Can you please suggest what more can be done?

Hi Saie,

My queries are the same as Jram's. I am based out in Mumbai, and my business is facing a significant slowdown in recruitments. Please advise as mentioned by Jram.

Hi,
It's nice to get the info related to opening a new recruitment firm.
I am also planning to have my own business for recruitment I have around 4+yrs of ex. HR but still not confident about weather this option will be proper for me, as I have lot of responsibilities on me....
So I request you people having experience pls do guide me...How do I move living existing job directly to my own business do I will get the money out of it?
I find risk in this.
So while working do U think I will able to start it side by side?
Pls give your valuable comments on it.
Thanks & Regards,
Harshada
