Shop & Establishment Act [Thread 132688]

Dear All,
We are going to open branch office in Metro city (Sofar we have manufacturing Location).
We would like to know any formalities to be done under shop & estabilshment act...??
Any obligations on Leave, shift timing etc..??
Any record/register to be mainatined...??
Please reply. Its an Urgent..

Shops and establishment acts rules vary location state wise. You have not mentioned your location.
There are definitely things to be maintained. But why call it as obligations it is a part and parcel of any company.
Yes recordbooks need to be maintained. You get a specialised register for attendance and also attendance cards.

Regarding the books/ registers, they are the same across.

hello!
We have a branch office at ahmedabad of gujarat & we hav 18 branches across the country.
Our HO at Bangalore.
Our Ahmedabad establishment date is 25.03.1998.
Till date we have not taken Shop Establishment Act Cert for Ahm Branch
Is it complulsory to apply for the same & pls sent the procedure for the same.
