What are the exact Employer PF contribution % split ups (EPF,EPS,EDLI,EDLIS etc.,)

Hope the employer's contribution to pension fund would be 8.33% instead of 8.67% if i am not wrong.

EMPLOYER CONTRIBUTION ON PF IS AS FOLLOWS:
F.P.S.-8.33% ON SALARY (TO THE MAXIMUM OF RS.541 - AS 8.33% ON 6500)
E.P.F.-12% ON SALARY - F.P.S. AS CALCULATED ABOVE
ADMIN.CHGS ON EPF - 0.65% ON TOTAL WAGES (PAID FOR PF COVERED EMPLOYEES) DURING THE MONTH
INSURANCE FUND (EDLIF): 0.5% ON TOTAL WAGES PAID
ADMIN.CHGS ON EDLIF: 0.01% ON TOTAL WAGES PAID

Interestingly i find there is a contribution to the insurance INSURANCE FUND (EDLIF): 0.5% ON TOTAL WAGES PAID !

Can you pls share some more details on this ....
for instance what is this insurance about and what is the extent one is covered and is it life or disability ?
will be greatful !
