To transfer your present PF to the new company, you need to get in touch with your new company's HR. They will provide you with the relevant forms to transfer the amount to your new account. Usually, you will have to fill Form 19 and Form 10C.

Yes, you can transfer your EPF account. You will need to fill out Form No-13 (Revised) and Form No-5 (EPF), have it attested by an authorized person (present employer), and submit it to the EPF department.

The process explained above by Mr. Ramachandran to make use of Form 13-C (obtain it from the EPF Office or download) requires completing the form with details of your PF membership account number obtained from your previous employer or the one printed on the PF annual statement provided by the previous employer. Submit the completed form through your present employer who, in turn, is required to send it to the concerned EPFO, indicating your PF account number in the current organization for the transfer of the account. My experience shows that continuous follow-up with EPFO through your current employer is necessary.

I agree with Aseem. It's always advisable not to transfer your PF but to withdraw the same and apply for a fresh one when you join a new company. If you are going with the transfers, you never know how much time it will take. I have seen cases that are pending from the last 3 years or so.

You should fill out Form No. 13 (Revised), which contains both your previous and existing concern details. Apart from this, you have to submit Form No. 3A and 6A under your previous employee code. You can contact your previous employer for these forms. Once your funds are transferred, you will receive a confirmation letter from your previous local office. It's always better to withdraw the PF money if you are changing the account, especially in the case of intercity. Neither the previous employer nor the current employer is responsible if your money doesn't get transferred. It is better to withdraw and invest somewhere so that you can get a good amount of money as a return.

You can transfer your PF accumulation from your old company, PF A/c No., to the new PF Account No., which will be allotted to you at the time of joining the new company. Simply fill up Form 13 duly filled in and signed by you and your present employer's authorized signatory, and submit it to the current O/O Regional/Sub Provident Fund Commissioner office. You have to regularly follow up on whether your PF has been transferred or not. Generally, if you are transferring from one state to another state, it takes a long time. However, if it is within the same Regional Commissioner office, it will be transferred within 2 months.

The second option is withdrawal, which can be done by filling up Form 19 and 10 C by your previous employer and submitting it to the same PF Regional Commissioner office.

I have filled out Form 13 for PF Transfer. My current company has requested other forms, including Form 3A, which I have obtained from my previous employer. However, upon verifying Form 3A, I noticed that my father's name was mentioned incorrectly, but all other details are correct.

I am concerned about my PF transfer. Earlier, I was employed in Bangalore. I moved from one company to another in October 2007 in Bangalore itself. However, my new employer did not initiate the PF transfer process for the first 6-7 months as the HR person was not aware of the process (he was super dumb). Later, we pushed him to initiate the process, and he took the forms from all of us and submitted them. It has been over 2 years now, and it's still not transferred, and I have now left that company as well. I am going to join a new company in Mumbai. With three PF accounts, will that be a problem? Can I withdraw the PF from both of these organizations now?

Your new company's HR department can fill out Form 13 (APPLICATION FOR TRANSFER OF EPF ACCOUNT) and send it to the concerned PF authorities in your region. The PF authorities will confirm the details of your previous employment with your previous employer and transfer the previous account to your new account. This process usually takes two to three months.

By submitting Form-13, you can transfer your EPF amount to your new EPF account. However, the EPS amount will not get transferred.

PF Transfer Process

PF transfer is very simple. The Form 13 should be filled out and taken to the present employer for signature, then submitted through the present employer. You should ensure the following documents:

• Your previous employer code no. & your PF No.
• PF Regional Office correct address.
• Break in particulars of your previous employment.

If you do not submit your break in service, PF authorities will return your Form-13 to your previous employer. This way, you will obtain break in service particulars.

We have to fill up Form 13 (R) to transfer our PF accumulations from one organization to another organization. Form 19 and 10C are used to withdraw the accumulations.

Step-By-Step Guide for Online Transfer of PF Funds

Here is a step-by-step guide on how you can log into the EPFO portal and facilitate the transfer of your PF funds from one employer to another.

If you have already been assigned a Universal Account Number (UAN), you can transfer funds easily. Ask your employer for the UAN if you haven’t received it.

Go to the EPFO website at http://members.epfoservices.in/home.php and create your UAN-based login ID.

This will take you to a page where you have to enter your UAN, mobile number, and details of your current employer, such as state, establishment number, and account number.

Then you need to check if your account is eligible for a transfer on the EPFO site. You need to fill in the state where the employer was located and search by name or establishment number from a dropdown menu.

After you have filled in the details, click on "Check Eligibility."

It is better to use the OTCP Portal for transferring PF online, and you can then submit that copy to your present employer. OTCP stands for Online Transfer Claim Portal. The required details for the transfer are as follows:
