Emergency Contact Plan In Case Of Riots And Other Emrgency

trupti.khare
Hi all,

Can anyone assist me in preparing the emergency contact plan for the following crises:

1) There is a big riot in Mumbai early in the morning, and we need to close our office.

2) There is a big riot in Mumbai at any time during the day, and we need to contact our colleagues who are not in the office.

3) A fatal accident has occurred at our project site in the middle of the night.

4) There is a big riot in Mumbai, and our colleagues cannot go home.

Please review and let me know if there are any revisions needed. Thank you.

Hi Trupti,

Preparing an emergency contact plan is not so difficult. Actually, there is no ideal format for that. Still, the following points can be of help for you:

Make a layout of a Disaster Management group (you can have a better name). The HR head may lead this group. Take help from the Organizational Structure (Hierarchy) to identify one person (preferably senior) from each department as a contact person for that particular Department/project/group. They should have contact numbers (including residence numbers) of all members of their Department/project/group. In case of any adversity or riot, these individuals will ensure the well-being of their members and report the same to the HR head.

In the event of a riot, strike (Bandh), or natural calamity, the Security head or Public Relations Officer should liaise with the police and local administration and report to the HR Head. The HR head will, in turn, report on the safety of all employees to the CEO.

I hope this information may be of some use to you.

Thank you & Regards
