Please clarify whether you need a Mobile Policy for:

1. Reimbursement for official use
2. Registration (at gate) & usage on premises
3. Procurement/corporate plans

Also,

1. What is the purpose of this policy?
2. Which department wants to implement it and for what levels of employees?
3. Who would be administering it, and is there any liability involved, as far as customer SLAs are concerned?
4. In which industry would you be implementing this?

Actually, I am looking for a sample mobile policy which includes reimbursement conditions for giving SIM separately and handset separately. I am looking for this policy for a hardware company. Users will be all senior and middle-level employees and a few junior-level employees.

This policy is good, but what about reimbursements? If the company wants to provide only a sim, how should it be implemented?

Hi Vinay,

As we understand, every company will have different styles of formulating their company policies. The sample policy that I have mailed to you consists of Mobile instrument + SIM (prepaid or postpaid) depending on the company norms for the middle and top management. In case you want to provide your employees only with SIM cards, then you should specify the SIM usage and their style of usage, along with the limit that they can use at actuals. At the end of the month, they should submit the company with the mobile bill, including their personal and professional calls duly marked on the bill. Do not forget to mention the usage limit.

If you wish, you can prepare a rough sketch and send it to me via email. I can make necessary changes and provide inputs wherever required.
