You can study as much as you like, but unless you gain some practical experience, that knowledge will be restricted to the books and paper you used to study with. If you have completed your MBA, try to find a job that will allow you to enter as a junior and then help you develop your skills while supporting your studies.

I agree with Joaneb that bookish knowledge and practical experience are totally different. Bookish knowledge just adds to your personality, but practical experience is what gives fast growth in the corporate world.

You can also pursue a Diploma in Industrial Psychology from IGNOU or Symbiosis. Additionally, there are good workshops and certified courses in Behavioral Training. I know of two of them in Mumbai. You can further investigate if you want.

After MBA, start searching for a job in HR, that's all. Experience cannot be substituted for anything. Side by side, you can go for MHRM or T&D.

First of all, decide which arena of HR you are planning to focus on. Accordingly, you can choose. For instance, if you are interested in an HR Generalist role, you may consider studying something related to Labor law or Company Law, etc. Hence, it depends. 🤔

You have two options: more studies or work experience. You may find it interesting to note that many people who have succeeded in the HR field are not exactly theoretical masters in HR. They all "grew" up as HR professionals along with the organizations.

My suggestion is to get yourself 2-3 years of experience, then go in for a program. By then, you will be in a better position to decide. Alternatively, you can go in for profiling yourself - understand what you are and then decide to take the track - more studies > academics > teaching & training profession OR HR function in an organization.

2. If you are married, raise a family.
3. Please study industrial laws in depth and consider pursuing a law honors course for three years.
4. Please study industrial psychology.
5. Learn computer packages and systems dealing with payroll, career documentation, etc.
6. Take on personnel management from the Institute of HR Delhi/Cal.

You should try to get some experience now, which might be at a junior level initially. You can also choose good consultancies to start with.

Even I completely agree with Johnneb. There won't be any point in studying more right now as what matters most is your experience. I am saying this from my personal experience. You can do a job and pursue a correspondence course in any subject you like.
