Hello, I am a silent member of this group, but today I have to share something funny that I have been noticing all these months. Even when I joined this group, I sent a Hello Mailer, but the number of responses I received was from two gentlemen. Today, I saw a girl conveying her hello to the group, and I saw 15 replies to her... FUNNY MAN FUNNY... Why are people like this?

It's nothing like that, I guess. It's just that you might have joined in the past when activity levels were low. In the past couple of months, CiteHR membership as well as activity levels have skyrocketed. You are welcome to the Forum. Why be a silent member? Come, interact, contribute. Knowledge grows by sharing, and fence-sitting doesn't help much!

Dude, relax. It's not a boy-girl thing; it's a matter of time. Maybe you joined during a high-pressure period, like I did. Being a girl, I, too, didn't get replies to my "Hi" emails, but it didn't stop me from exploring the site, replying, or asking questions. You need to interact a lot to get to know people and to establish expectations.

Start here; contribute as much as you can, whether it's a little or a lot. It doesn't matter; what counts are your efforts and interests. Kick up your spirits.
