Navigating Gratuity Act Changes: Who Is the Controlling Authority for Form B?

The Payment of Gratuity Act is applicable to our company. Our company has already taken a policy under Life Insurance Corporation of India. The name of our company has changed. According to the act, we have to send a Notice of Change in Form B to the controlling authority of the area. My question is, who is the controlling authority of the area? Please update me urgently.

You have not mentioned in which area your office is situated. Without this information, the controlling authority cannot be suggested.

Can anybody help me with the format of Form A under the Gratuity Act? Also, please let me know if Form A needs to be filled out once or for every branch. Do we have to fill out Form A for each branch?

Hi, kindly guide me regarding this. For my company, the Payment of Gratuity Act is applicable, but the company was incorporated in the year 2006. However, as per the Act, no employee has completed 5 years of continuous service. My question is, should we file Form A (Notice of Opening)?

Filing Form A for Gratuity Compliance

My question is, when should Form A be filed - at the time of the company opening or after completing five years?

Hi Praveen, Form A should be submitted to ALC before 30 days of commencement of the establishment under the Payment of Gratuity Act.
