Hi Menaka,

Since Diwali is a colorful festival, you need to decorate your office with a variety of flowers. Hopefully, your office would sponsor this decoration.

Below is a list that will make your office floor colorful and beautiful:

First, at the entrance, you need to put a rangoli. In the outer design, place small diyas and hang colorful flowers at the entrance to brighten up the floor.

Second, place roses in alternate cubicles and hang painted pictures of crackers, Akash butti, here and there.

You can also organize a traditional day and ask everyone to come in traditional attire. Arrange for sweets and decorations in the office. Additionally, you can hold a rangoli competition.

Hi Menaka,

Generally, all offices give out sweets during Diwali. We can also distribute sweets in all government departments.

Hi,

In continuation with the above views, you can also have a small session of group discussions and let everybody put forward their views/opinions. Share your thoughts.

Every year on the occasion, we decorate our floor with full of colorful flowers. Decoration starts late at night, and by morning, the floor would look colorful and beautiful, with everybody dressed in traditional attire. As the day ends, we organize a 2-hour session of games, dance, and singing. If possible, sweets are distributed, and everyone goes home happily.

Generally, we have programs on Fridays, and we enjoy Saturdays. Tomorrow, we are celebrating the lights of Diwali.

Hi,

You can take all your staff to a forest area and celebrate with the people available in that particular forest. Bring along sweets, crackers, and old dresses to share joy with them. This will provide more pleasure and a different experience.

Can anyone give a format for "celebration"? Any format that makes everyone a part of the family and happy can be adopted. Let the feelings emanate from the heart and reach to the core of the recipient's heart. All new ideas will come to you when you target this.

Happy Diwali

Hi Monika,

I would like to know how a leave policy works for expats. Usually, expats join on a 1-year contract, so how do we give leave credits in case they join in the middle of the year? If leaves are calculated and credited as per the financial year, then the expat may not be entitled to paid leaves. Please provide insights on how it works in your organization.

Monika
