How Do I Define Clear Roles for Our New Overseas RPO Team? Seeking Guidance from Experienced Peers

Sugan_Mona
Hi,

I'm working with the IT company where we have recently started an RPO (Overseas) Team on a trial basis. Until now, all the recruitment work was done by the HR team solely for internal purposes.

Now, I need to prepare the guidelines for the RPO team outlining their job responsibilities, including those of the Team Head and executives.

Seniors, please guide me in preparing their job roles apart from the usual responsibilities such as:

Team Head:

- Interacting with the client to understand the requirements.
- Allocating work to the team once the requirements are received.
- Helping and guiding the team with any issues.
- Ensuring quality work is completed by the team within the stipulated time or ahead of schedule.
- Mentoring and counseling the team.

Executive:

- Sourcing and shortlisting candidates from the portal after conducting a preliminary round.

Our Business Development Manager (BDM) wants the Team Head to report directly to him, and our management also supports this decision. (Note: The BDM will always coordinate with the RPO team.)

Could you please advise on the correct procedure to follow?

Thanks,
SM

To make it clearer, management wants the team head to report directly to the management (MD).
