It's easy. First, you write the following:

Company Name Balance Sheet Date

Assets Cash: $ Accounts Receivable (if any): $? Land (if any): $? Equipment (if any):

Total Assets: $

Liabilities and Equity Liabilities Account Payable Salaries and Wages Notes Payable

Total Liabilities: $

Equity Capital Retained Earnings

Total Equity

Total Equity and Liabilities (To check, the total assets must be equal to total liabilities and equity). Good luck.

Balance sheets can be prepared in two types:

1. Horizontal Balance Sheet: Liabilities are listed in one column, and Assets are listed in another column.

2. Vertical Balance Sheet:
